The Private Sector Foundation Uganda is organizing this years Development awards under the theme promoting good governance and corporate Social Responsibility in Uganda’s Private sector.
The awards will this year incorporate new categories that include the excellent Awards in violence against young Children, improving physical environment for the children and promotion of quality early learning.
Companies with exclusive projects in corporate social responsibility that have a niche for promotion of improved leaving of young children between 0 to eight years take centre stage this year.
The Bernard Van Leer Foundation a Neither land organization with preference in children improved opportunities, will this year partner with the Private Sector foundation to ensure that lives of children in areas most affected by the North-East civil unrest are improved.
The foundation will be identifying corporate companies to work with in the districts of Nakapiripiti, Kumi and Apac.
Private Sector Foundation will enroll more efforts into advocacy for children centered corporate responsibility programs not only within the private sector members but also within government policies.
This year’s development Awards will recognize those member associations, cooperatives, community Development initiatives or networks that have contributed to the economic empowerment of their members and those with sustainable corporate social programs.
